We loved many things about this hotel, especially the little attentions from the staff, who were adorable! A big shout‑out to Fred! There were few options despite the bad weather, maybe only because there was no dinner offered every day.

Chez Georges is stunningly high‑up in the Santa Teresa neighborhood. The entrance is very special. With a PIN you get access to a garage that leads to the lift, which takes you to an even higher reception surrounded by beautiful rooms with luxurious design. The terrace offers a great view of part of Rio de Janeiro, and a higher terrace where you can dine romantically gives an even better view of the surroundings. The room is very spacious with plenty of storage and again luxurious design furniture. Even though you’re in a big city, it feels like you’re in nature. The breakfast service was excellent and the staff very helpful; they also make a delicious cocktail on request. The Uber service in Rio works really well. It’s relatively cheap and we never waited longer than 4 minutes, even though Chez Georges is really at the end of steep, winding streets with cobblestones. Good restaurants are within walking distance. The mattress was fairly hard, which contradicted the high‑quality experience. The large wardrobe had a limited number of hangers; we would have liked a few more. If you want to walk around, be aware of very steep uphill and downhill on a road with uneven cobblestones. Good walking shoes are recommended.

The location and setting felt like a dream, and the staff were incredibly friendly, delivering service that was truly exceptional. No complaints to add.
