Maajid Quba Hotel&Restaurant Sanatorium

It all started when I asked for a glass of wine and ended up getting a whole bottle instead. I met friendly guests and staff who were all warm and helpful, and they really cared that I felt happy and safe. For me, it was the best stay ever in Azerbaijan, and I’ll miss the time a lot. (And the room keys are awesome)

A good spot between the mountains and the riverside, but it was very noisy with lots of children around, and a wedding was happening too, which disturbed us with loud music and heavy noise.

The shower was fine. We booked a twin room with a mountain view, yet we received a double bed with a “view” on a wall, and the breakfast was mediocre.

The rooms were different from the photos, the furniture was old and worn, and the price was high for a place that doesn’t deserve it.

We liked the location and the treatments offered by the sanatorium, especially the massage by Hanum who has golden hands, but the reception attitude and room cleanliness were disappointing. We had booked a room two weeks in advance, yet when we arrived on the scheduled date and time, we were told there were no free rooms left—an booking mix‑up. Later, a new receptionist was very polite, friendly and tried to help. The room looked better in the photos than in reality. Overall it was mediocre: the mattresses were uncomfortable and the floor was dirty. We wouldn’t choose this hotel again. However, the treatment staff left a very good impression—they were attentive, friendly and caring toward guests.
