We stayed for one night on the return trip and were met with a very friendly welcome. The room’s décor was simple yet thoughtfully detailed, the bed was very comfortable, and the electric heater was a welcome touch. We had access to a balcony with a table and two chairs overlooking the mountains and the bridge under renovation. Unfortunately, we had to cancel the highly praised dinner reservation because I wasn’t feeling well; my wife was served a delicious fish dish and dessert on a tray in the room. Breakfast was also excellent. We were allowed to give the friendly dog the cheese scraps because she loves cheese. The bathroom was dated.
