A fantastic spot where kids can mingle with a wide range of animals—there’s a mare, a donkey, piglets, ducks, geese, hens, a rooster, rabbits, three well‑behaved dogs, and tiny kittens. For city kids it’s unforgettable to feed them, pet them, chase the geese, or simply watch the horse from the hammock. The real highlight, however, was our generous hosts, Alberto and his mother, who cooked breakfast and dinner. The homemade food let us taste authentic Spanish cuisine from this region, but that wasn’t the main point of their hospitality. What mattered most was the environment Alberto creates for guests. Meals are served at precise times on a long wooden table with benches on both sides in the yard. Everyone helps set the table, serve the food, and clear dishes afterward. What struck me most was Alberto’s personal touch toward each guest and his desire to connect people regardless of origin, nationality, age, etc., giving them as much of his values as possible and leaving everyone with unforgettable memories. I can safely say we found a great place with a wonderful host.
