“Would definitely stay here again, but they need to refresh their furnishings”

The swimming pools were beautiful, the staff were amazing, the location was excellent, and the restaurant served great food. Unfortunately, the furnishings, the curtain over the bed, the pillows, and the mattress all need cleaning or replacement—they smell very old and dirty.

The staff were very friendly, the location is great and close to everything by scooter, and the beach access plus the lovely promenade with several nice restaurants are a highlight. However, the shower water was cold, and the walk to the beach is quite steep, especially on the return; it takes less than 5 minutes to get there but you have to climb back up, though it’s still doable.

“Traumhafte Unterkunft mit viel Natur & top surfspot”

The accommodation was truly dreamy, with a stunning pool area overlooking the sea and lush plants. The rooms were above average, complete with mosquito nets and everything you could wish for, plus a fantastic outdoor bathroom. Service and staff were unbeatable, and you can rent a scooter on site for about 90k, book laundry for 3 kilos at around 130k, and there’s a small restaurant. The hotel manager is incredibly friendly and attentive. The beach is close with great surf for all levels. Every morning, incense sticks were placed on the property and the bungalows were “blessed” with rice offerings. We always felt very comfortable and cared for, making this the best place we booked on our Indonesian trip. The only things worth noting are that renting a scooter is essential, the island has no graveyard, the path to the beach is steep downhill and unlit after sunset, and you can hear many natural sounds—roosters crowing from 4 am, grilling, and geckos—which could disturb sensitive sleepers.

“A fuir !!!!!”

The bungalow and the pool were fine. The manager tricked me into paying an extra day for a scooter because he handed me the keys the night before at 18:00 even though I wanted them at 7:00 the next morning (which I didn’t use until then). On the departure day I had to pay a taxi to take me to the port with my luggage, and a kid told me I would get a scooter as a taxi. He also didn’t give me my boat ticket that I’d paid for the day before and gave me a wrong company name, almost causing me to miss my boat. Luckily I spotted the scam, checked all companies, and finally left, but it was close.

The villa was great, surrounded by lovely tropical gardens, with amazing pools and delicious food at the hotel’s own café. The only downside was a bit of a hike down to the beach and a difficult walk back up the hills for me.
