There were only a few things to note… the breakfast was average and served in a nice room. I had booked a large room in a château for my partner and me, yet we ended up in a small outbuilding with a tiny room that had no window. The bathroom was dated, with spiderwebs in the bathtub. A lady who struggled with communication offered us a small bottle of water and a beer upon arrival. The owner seemed present but vanished quickly, and we expressed our dissatisfaction because the photos were misleading. We didn’t sleep in the château as the description and other comments suggested. Paying 135 euros for a tiny room in the middle of nowhere is worth no more than 60 euros. We tried to voice our complaints but couldn’t meet the owner, and the lady who could speak as best she could told us to leave if we were unhappy right when we arrived—what a welcome. We left a note for the owner at departure and earlier on site I filed a complaint with booking requesting compensation. Don’t be fooled by the pictures; you won’t stay in a 15th‑century château but in a 5‑ or 6‑year‑old outbuilding.
