The location was good. My room smelled extremely bad; I asked for a non‑smoking room, but it still had a terrible smoke odor.

Being in the city made it easy to walk to restaurants. I called to request a room change, but it wasn’t booked; if no rooms were available I might not have been able to stay.

The front desk was polite and helpful, but the room I booked as non‑smoking still had a smoking sign; I felt I had to double‑check with the hotel even though I reserved online.

The nostalgic Showa‑style business hotel was a real throwback, and the single room let me smoke and even had a small window with a ashtray in the bathroom—just like the ones I used to stay in on business trips. Parking for my motorcycle at the entrance was super convenient, and the front desk staff were very friendly. I had no major complaints; I’d definitely come again if I’m in the area.

Conveniently located right across from a convenience store and close to the station, this place is perfect for travelers from outside the prefecture. The staff were decent and I’d like to return. I didn’t use breakfast, but the buffet area was spacious and considerate for solo diners. I’m not sure if it’s unique to this hotel, but the 9 a.m. lottery for guests only is a hit with families who have small kids. Parking is plentiful; even if the first lot is full, the second lot is nearby, making it ideal for out‑of‑prefecture guests. My three nights and four days were very comfortable, and I’ll book again when I visit Iwakuni next time. The only minor issue was that the refrigerator’s power was not independent; I’d love to be able to keep snacks and drinks chilled separately.
