The breakfast, the location, and everything around were excellent; we already looked forward to the six‑course menu in the morning. It’s a quiet place to relax, sweetened by a swimming pool at the house

Christian is so charming that staying with him and his wife feels more like a vacation than a stay, almost like being guests of good friends; the rooms are very chic, with an old style modernized; nothing is missing, and if anything is, Christian immediately has an idea and gets what you need. The beds are very comfortable, there’s enough space for luggage and even a baby crib. In the common room there’s a foosball table to kill time, and on nice weather you can swim or play pétanque in the pool. Both breakfast and dinner use fresh regional produce—from fresh yogurt, homemade jam, tasty cheese to top‑quality ham. Christian also offers guests dinner; for a low price (now more like a main course price) you get a fantastic five‑course menu. He not only cooks but also brings a smile to your face. It’s so delicious. Our baby couldn’t settle one evening, so we had to alternate babysitting; Christian even warmed the food again and served it anew. He’s simply charming, has a solution for everything, is super attentive, and is a real treasure. The vacation at Moulin de la Cuse is worth it just because of him. Besides, it’s very quiet, idyllicly located, yet you can quickly reach the larger towns and Besançon. We originally wanted to pause France for a year, but after this stay we threw those plans away and already booked our next trip to Cusance. We travel a lot and stay at least seven places on each trip, and we’re always very satisfied; this place exceeded everything. That warmth makes the stay a unique experience
