Rauðaberg II

The guesthouse is near the Ring Road but not too close, offering a nice view of a glacier tongue. The kitchen is well stocked, the room is small but functional, and there are two comfortable bathrooms. The timed bathroom light was a bit inconvenient, and we couldn’t find a way to keep it on long enough.

Everything was great. It’s a 20‑minute walk from the “civilization” and the place is perfect for viewing the auroras; we saw them on both nights and they were amazing because the accommodation sits in the middle of nowhere! I’d recommend buying groceries beforehand since the nearest supermarket is 20 minutes away. The kitchen is well equipped and there are two bathrooms. I’d definitely stay again. The only comment is that the bathroom doors are a bit hard to open; we got locked in and other guests did too, but it’s fixable.

“Bien”

The room was very clean and the environment pleasant. The quiet location and superb view were a plus. The room was really small with no storage, the bathroom needs renovation, the light shuts off automatically in under a minute, the door lock doesn’t work, and there are too many rooms for a single kitchen.

The rooms we got had great views, but there was no contact with the staff, the exterior was wrecked, and the bathrooms and kitchen felt like an old house.

“Location buona, quasi un ostello”

The place is outside the town center, reached by a short dirt road, and the view from the building is spectacular. The shared kitchen is equipped and the rooms are warm. However, the kitchen gear was quite old and broken, many pans should be discarded. One bathroom had a light that went out after 5 seconds and the lock didn’t work.
