The modern structure was stunning, staff were friendly and handled everything instantly, and the maitre de salle was always smiling, kind, measured, and highly professional; we felt at home because our trip was meant to return to our roots. No negatives.

Only the reception’s courtesy stood out. In the room there was a terrible sewer smell that forced us to keep the window open, the Ferragosto lunch was poor and slow with an incompetent service, and after finishing the sandwiches they gave us sliced bread that wasn’t fresh… portions were tiny. The breakfast quality was low for Best Western standards I’m used to.

The room’s double bed was actually two single mattresses of different firmness, making it terribly uncomfortable; the en‑suite bathroom wouldn’t close because the lock was jammed, so we had to use it with the door left open; there wasn’t even a phone in the room to reach reception; the cleaning was subpar. For a property marketed as four‑star, I expected far more.

Breakfast was plentiful, both sweet and savory, with a wide variety of options. The room was spacious, the bathroom was also roomy, there was a fridge, TV, and air conditioning. The SPA route was nice and relaxing, and the staff (Maria and Lucia) were very friendly and welcoming.

Everything was very comfortable and reasonably priced, but I would improve the room cleanliness.
