The Anderson Ocean Club and Spa by Oceana Resorts is located directly on the shore, 5 minutes' drive from central Myrtle Beach. The hotel features 2 outdoor pools, a lazy river, and a full-service day spa. All rooms include a washing machine, kitchen, ironing facilities, flat-screen TV, and high-speed internet. A fitness centre, sun terrace, and beachfront access are also offered.

Everything else was fine and the staff were welcoming. When it was time to check out, we called the valet for our car and they said it would take 10 minutes to retrieve it, but we ended up waiting an hour before the car arrived. We went to the front desk to remind them, and it seemed the valet had forgotten about us—though I understand they were also handling bell service. Several staff walked by while we waited, but none asked if we needed help or were still waiting for our car. Eventually the car came after we had been standing for an hour, and that was the only problem, but it was a major inconvenience.

Everything was both great and problematic, so I had a mixed experience.
