The bed was comfortable, but we stayed in mid‑September and the room was already cold with the heating system not working properly; the building and room felt humid and the room was quite dark with little natural light. The spacious bathroom had clean towels that smelled awful, as if they never dried. Breakfast had to be ordered in advance for the agreed time. Our window faced the street in front of the restaurant, and Saturday evening was noisy, as was Monday early morning due to traffic.

The small lady who makes breakfast was nice, but the shower was clogged and there was an unpleasant damp smell in the room.

The rooms were really unique and nicely decorated, and they stayed spotless. It’s a bit out of the main spa area, but the garden is lovely and actually usable. Only downside was the shower – the water took forever to drain.

Staying at this old Ardenne‑style B&B felt like stepping into a storybook, especially with the little “Estaminette” restaurant just across the street – truly a dream for anyone named Lauretta. Parking, though, can be a hassle if you have a trailer or a Vespa; it’s not always straightforward.
