“Nice design, rooms need an upgrade”

The design is thoughtful and the environment is pleasant. I liked the self‑serve espresso, and the food was good. However, my room smelled musty and damp, and the AC was extremely loud. All rooms seem to need an update.

“Beautiful hotel and grounds. Great breakfast. The food at the restaurant was overpriced.”

The first room we stayed in had a mildew odor. We requested a different room, which also had a smell, but it was less intense.

“Disappointing”

We booked what we believed was the hotel section, but upon arrival we were handed a room in the “motel” section with an outdoor entrance. The AC was old and hanging out of the window, the door paint was peeling, and the room had a musty smell. We had already spent money there for a wedding rehearsal dinner and rooms. When I asked for a hotel room, the staff responded smugly, asking, “what do you want me to do, we have no rooms.” Their attitude suggested they didn’t value our business, claiming they were busy and thriving without us. I wonder why I was given this room instead of someone who checked in later. Their dismissive tone implied we were not needed, but one day I might need their business.

“Don't hesitate to book!”

This hotel is fantastic, especially for families. The outdoor pool area is stunning, offering a great mix of sun and shade. My 11‑year‑old even found a basketball hoop and balls in the back parking lot. The gardens, creek, and wooded areas around the property are perfect for exploration. It’s a great deal with a complimentary hot breakfast each morning and free parking, just outside West Hartford. The only downside was a step stool in the bathroom for little kids.
