This spot sits in a charming village called Neiderried, and choosing it over Interlaken or Grindelwald was a brilliant move; the place is quiet, peaceful, and breathtaking. The Ora lakeview rooms come with a balcony overlooking Lake Brienz, and even though the room was small, it felt cozy and the view was amazing. The host is a wonderful, funny lady who helped with everything. We skipped the breakfast option, but the small kitchen is fully equipped, so we cooked our own meals or grabbed something ready‑to‑eat. There’s no supermarket or Co‑op in town, which was exactly what we wanted. Interlaken is just a 7‑minute train ride away, and the hotel is only a 2‑minute walk from the station, which is a huge plus. The bathroom featured an excellent shower with always hot water. Just note there’s no elevator, so you’ll need to carry luggage up or down the stairs if you’re not on the ground floor—something we didn’t find troublesome, even with large suitcases, because the overall experience was so good. I’d recommend booking without hesitation.
