Located in Yamanouchi, 塵表閣本店 offers traditional ryokan rooms with private bathrooms, air-conditioning, and tatami floors, featuring tea and coffee makers, bidets, and free toiletries. The property boasts a hot spring bath, open-air bath, and hot tub, along with free WiFi. An à la carte Asian breakfast is served daily, near Jigokudani Monkey Park and Mt. Kusatsu Shirane, with free on-site parking.

Very nice large room. Futon beds were very comfortable. Staff were lovely. Great location. Good service picking us from the station and dropping us back the next day. The room was very tired and in need of repair. Our private onsen looked dirty and uninviting, so we didn’t use it. Not great value for money given we spent over £400 for dinner, bed and breakfast in September.

The owners and staff were sweet, and the rooms were lovely.

The spot was great, and my wife and I could enjoy a private onsen right there for ourselves (the public).
