“Beautiful Shepherd's hut in a peaceful setting”
The Shepherd’s hut was lovely, well decorated to a high standard, and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable; they offered a tasty breakfast and lunch for a supplement, and there was a handy little shed where you could buy snacks and drinks at a very reasonable price. The surroundings were so peaceful and perfect for a relaxing break. For us it was an ideal stop on the Cleveland Way and the owner was very helpful in offering advice for our onward hike. Being able to order food from local takeaways for delivery is great, but there's no WiFi and our mobile data connection was patchy. I managed to get a signal and order food. My son wasn’t able to get any signal though and without a TV thought the provision of some books or games would be helpful.
