Nothing was good; they didn’t take the booking seriously, so I had to leave and find another place. The property’s management is very poor.

I booked online and got the confirmation code. We drove two hours to get there and found the place abandoned; no one answered the phone. We drove to the reception and saw it had been empty for a while, with no staff on site. How can they accept bookings when the place isn’t operational? I received an email the next day from COVID that suggested buying printed masks at reception. No communication.

When we got there, everything was filthy—beds hadn't been changed, no starch, stains everywhere, it was gross. The pool resembled a swamp, there was no electricity or Wi‑Fi in the rooms, and the worst part was the lack of cleanliness; I had to ask for a new room with fresh bedding. The kettle even had limescale.

“Horrible experience do not recommend still waiting for my refund as well!!!!!”

They claim to have great facilities, but it was all false advertising: the place was dirty, no power, no hot water, termites in the cupboards, no fridge or working fan, and no Wi‑Fi. The photos were old and misleading. We stayed only one night, not three, and are still waiting for Wendy to process our refund.

The lodge’s location near the reserve is convenient and the natural bush food was nice. However, most of the lodge looks neglected, there's no manager, and maintenance is a problem.
