“Breathtaking view and a great bamboo house concept, but poor maintenance, misleading details and lack of basic amenities”
The room’s view was truly breathtaking. I booked the Bamboo house for two nights but stayed only one because there were several problems. First, there was no hot water even though I had confirmed with the property beforehand. Staff arrived two hours after being called, and the water was only slightly warm, which was unacceptable in the cold weather. The room was very dirty, far below basic cleanliness standards. The listing claimed the house could accommodate seven people, but there were only two beds (one double, one single). The second floor was reachable only via a steep ladder and had no proper window, just a curtain. The Wi‑Fi advertised in the listing didn’t work at all during our stay. Also, the road to the property was unsafe, suitable only for experienced drivers, yet this wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the description. For breakfast they served fried rice in a foam container and a plastic bag—unacceptable service. The bamboo house concept is wonderful, but the place is poorly maintained and desperately needs cleaning. It’s a shame because the property has so much potential but isn’t being taken care of properly. Overall it was a frustrating experience, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless improvements are made.
