A Tanners Home Inn Bed and Breakfast

“The Hosts were so friendly & gave us plenty of information on things to do in town & places to eat.”

The spot was easy to locate, and street parking was free before 1000 am and after 4:00 pm; once we asked, the hosts let us use their garage so we could stroll into town, which was a big help. Breakfast was solid, and when we had to catch the ferry early, the host packed snacks for us. The hosts were extremely friendly and shared loads of tips on what to do and where to eat. I stayed in the Rose room, a spacious upstairs room with an ensuite.

The center and harbor promenade are within walking distance.

“Völlig falsche Angaben und Kundenbetrug!”

The only good thing was the location. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was fairly varied, but hygiene was far from perfect: for example, the yoghurt was already a month past its use-by date. The entire property was filthy. The bathroom was especially poorly cleaned; the fan had a thick layer of dust, the grout around the sink and bathtub was yellow, dirty, crumbling, and the toilet showed many traces from previous guests. The sink didn’t work properly, the toothbrush holder was completely dirty—disgusting! The furniture was dull, old, and worn out. All rooms were in the basement with little air and light, giving a sense of being in a ditch. The description mentioned a private whirlpool, but none existed. Claiming a 5‑star rating and calling it a “luxurious family accommodation” feels audacious and should be seen as a deception toward guests.

“Amazing place”

The owners were genuinely welcoming and offered plenty of recommendations about the area. The homemade breakfast was amazing!
