We stayed in a spacious triple room with comfortable beds and a tranquil atmosphere; the daughter of the owners greeted us in flawless French and we left feeling refreshed. However, the price for a hotel that offers no housekeeping on a two‑night stay (not even trash removal) is outrageous – it’s 2 to 3 times the local rates, paid in cash, and no receipt is given. The heating only runs for 2 hours in the evening and then stops for the night while it’s 5 °C outside. The shower was clogged, there was no kettle (they lent us the kitchen one, which was dirty), no fridge, and no seats. Breakfast was very inadequate. In the evenings they offered to “prepare something” for us, but there was no menu to choose from, no price listed, a barely reheated polenta, and some hard, fatty, overly salty sausages. I was very disappointed by these illegal and incorrect commercial practices.
