A beautiful spot, a hidden gem steeped in history. The food was great, breakfast fantastic. The staff and owners were very helpful and friendly. The place and the local people create an atmosphere that is sadly hard to find anymore—a real old‑community friendly feel! The room could've been a little cleaner!! But it was still great and the bed super comfortable.

Perfect location, lovely village green setting. The host was very welcoming and thoughtful. Tastefully decorated, cosy and relaxing throughout—especially our generous room. It was nice to see a village pub well supported by locals and visitors alike. Breakfast was good, cooked to order, in the pretty on‑site cafe. Would happily book again. Evening bar food was OK – huge portions, but lacked the finesse of the rest of the place (wouldn't stop me booking again). Breakfast was excellent.
