I was just a street away from the beach, but the place was far from clean—shower tiles had mold and renovations were in progress. It turned out to be the priciest hotel on our trip and one of the few we booked through Booking rather than Airbnb, yet it was also one of the worst. Considering we sometimes stayed for just €3 a night elsewhere, the value here was absolutely the poorest.

The spot was super close to the beach and the room itself looked great, so it seemed worth the money. However, the bed made noise and the balconies weren’t private.
