Strandhotel Fontana, a family-run hotel in Timmendorfer Strand, sits 2 minutes from the beach. The hotel boasts a luxury spa and sauna, a spacious lobby with fireplace, and a restaurant with a large terrace overlooking the Bay of Lübeck. Elegant rooms feature warm colours, custom furniture, and original oil paintings, with some offering breathtaking Baltic Sea views.

The location was good, the reception was friendly, and the breakfast was fine. The room on the 2nd floor had a slanted roof, a dirty carpet, and outdated furnishings, and the price was not worth it!

The breakfast served in the restaurant was great, and the spacious terrace overlooking the Baltic Sea had tasteful furniture and exceptionally friendly staff; sitting there was the best experience. For my husband's birthday, the table was even decorated with a card, ornaments, and a birthday muffin, making us feel very comfortable. The location is superb: everything is within walking distance yet quieter in this part of the beach road. We stayed in a room in the old building block, which was very old-fashioned. The floor was a carpet with several large stains. However, our terrace was very beautiful and large, with loungers, chairs, a table, and a sun umbrella.

I have rarely seen such a clean hotel. The atmosphere is great, the décor is very tasteful, the location is excellent, and the staff is very friendly—something that is already rare today. We will come back!
