Located in the annexes of one of the most beautiful pubs in Sussex, tables bathe in evening sun, tips for three wonderful walks (especially the one to the monument with an incredible view of three of the Seven Sisters—you really have to do it). Good kitchen, delicious breakfast, large parking.

The room was lovely and the bathroom was spotless, but the only drawback was that it got quite hot during the night.

The breakfast was solid, though the coffee came from a machine that seemed a bit off. The spot is great, and I liked the farmers market just a short walk from the parking. I was a bit lost about where to check in, where to park, and I didn’t realize there was a luggage drop‑off outside my door. The TV wouldn’t turn on, and the window needed a full net curtain or a longer blind cord so it could close with a small gap at the bottom for airflow. I mentioned that to the Estate Office, and I expect it will be fixed. I was also surprised there was no chair in the room, which could be helpful for anyone who wants to work at the desk; it didn’t bother me because there’s a park bench outside.

Everything was finished nicely, but there was no air conditioning, so I had to rely on a fan that I knew about beforehand.
