The building is truly beautiful; I’d recommend everyone to try a night in this historic mansion—absolutely enjoyed it! The location is great, close to everything but still a quiet area. The only drawback was breakfast: we had to wait a long time and the portions were modest.
There were more drawbacks than advantages, with unfriendly staff and filthy conditions; rooms weren’t cleaned, water wasn’t delivered, and only two bottles of water covered the entire stay. Changing towels and toilet paper required a request, and the laundry was never refreshed in six days. Noise from the road and constant foot traffic above and below made it hard to rest, while someone smeared a chemical on the stairs at night, sending a strong odor into the room. Breakfast was identical every day during our five‑night stay, and the same basket of bread, vegetables, sauces and spreads meant for one or two people was brought to our group of two adults and three children. The bathtub lock broke, the toilet wouldn’t flush, hot water was nonexistent, the shower door fell off its hinges, and a glass shattered while washing, cutting us.
