We came as a family with two toddlers (1 and 3 years old) and found that the agriturismo wasn’t suitable for our situation. It might be lovely for adults or families with older kids, but for us it was different. The property is nicely and tastefully decorated, but many ornaments looked like toys to our children, though they were not allowed to play with them. The lounge wasn’t child‑friendly; for instance, there was a meat‑cutting machine that was easily reachable. The climbing tower was blocked by a chair for the whole stay and seemed to be used by the host’s child. We would have appreciated a kid‑friendly activity at a horse farm. Moving around the grounds was difficult with small kids: the design of the horse enclosures worried us, and the free‑running dogs—one of which chased the horses multiple times—required constant attention. We also felt unwelcome when it came to child noise; when our kids cried, we were asked to move away from the house so other guests wouldn’t be disturbed. We understand other guests’ need for quiet, but occasional crying is normal for children that age. Meanwhile, the host’s private terrace was directly below our room, where smoking occurred and people sat loudly until late at night. The host’s child was active until late as well. This gave us the impression that different standards were applied to the host’s and our children. The barbecue was also expensive for families with small kids.
