Hafen Hotel Schützenhof, situated 200 metres from Burg auf Fehmarn harbour, offers a shaded beer garden, rustic-style pub, and free Wi-Fi. Brightly decorated rooms feature rich fabrics, modern interiors, satellite TV, and en-suite bathrooms. A daily bistro menu and hearty buffet breakfast are served. The hotel is close to Südstrand beach, Fehmarn Sea Centre, and Fehmarn Golf Club, with Burg Train Station 2.5 km away.

The place felt really cozy and spotless, the front desk staff were extremely friendly, and the breakfast spread was generous.

I liked the location, being so close to the beach, and the family suite worked well with its two connecting rooms, plus parking was hassle‑free. However, the staff they advertised never appeared, we had to check in at a kiosk, the courtesy was lacking, the breakfast was very plain, and when we asked for extra apple juice a broken machine was blamed and we were told to get something else. The shower head in our room was broken; the nozzles were completely scaled and water sprayed out the side.

A little out of town but only a short walk to the harbour and restaurants; the beach is about a 30‑minute walk. There’s some in‑house entertainment like a pool, and the breakfast is great.

The hotel enjoys an excellent location and the staff were especially friendly, but the parking on the premises was only available for a fee.
