We spent two nights at Sigiri Chena Villa while touring Sigiriya and Pidurangala; the rooms were clean and roomy, ideal after climbing Lion Rock; breakfast was tasty, the place is quiet yet close enough to restaurants; the jungle sounds at sunrise made it very peaceful; I highly recommend it for budget travelers who still want comfort.
Located on a farm yet close to the main street; the family running the place is very warm; definitely worth it.
“It’s too bad”
The hotel is inside the jungle and doesn’t feel safe; it’s really hard to get in there, and finding the property was another headache.
“Alles wat je nodig hebt aan een goede prijs”
Good price/quality, nice garden, but a bit hard to find.
“Un'oasi di autentica ospitalità a Sigiriya”
Our stay was unforgettable, mainly because of the incredible warmth of the whole family; the owners, Sisira and Santa, are very sweet and exceptionally welcoming; Sisira tends the garden with great passion, while Santa turns the freshest produce straight from the garden into delicious dishes; we ate lunch and dinner with them and everything was genuine and tasty; a big bonus is the son, who helped us arrange all transfers and local attractions smoothly; we felt truly pampered and at home from the moment we arrived; highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic Sri Lankan experience.
