The place is gorgeous, but there was no air conditioning.

The hotel was pretty and the location was great. Everything from the dinner to the breakfast was excellent, and there was a little bit of noise typical of an old house but it didn’t bother me much; I’ll definitely come back.

The spot is spectacular, right on Lake Brienz with direct access for swimming, which I enjoyed thoroughly. Iseltwalt is a charming, untouched little place. The lake paddle‑steamer docks right by the hotel, letting you reach all the villages around Lake Brienz without a car.
