We booked a room with one double bed and a small bed, plus a private bathroom (breakfast included). The space was generous and even had a garden view, cleaner than I’d expected. The bathroom was tidy and roomy, though a bucket and mug were missing. There’s a separate guest room where you can prep food and a dining area outside the kitchen – that worked well. We chose this spot because it’s close to Sigiriya Rock, which we climbed the next morning. The owner stopped by that morning to give us a tasty breakfast. No insects bothered us and the whole property stayed clean. Inside, it was very quiet; we arrived at night so it was dark and silent, with friendly dogs around – no worries there. The owner was away due to an emergency, so her helper was present but didn’t speak English, making communication tough. Again, the bucket and mug were missing in the bathroom.
