“最高”
Staying with breakfast and dinner included, the price and quality were unbeatable. Every meal was carefully prepared, used rare or local ingredients, and was delicious. The abundance of manga and figurines made walking around the building itself interesting. The only downside was that it’s far from the city center of Shiga Prefecture, so there are few chances to visit nearby.
Even though the price was reasonable, the food was surprisingly tasty. It’s a traditional Japanese inn, so it feels like staying at home and you can relax. The owner and his son are very homey, so I’d like to go again. The bath was good and relieved fatigue if you avoid the crowds.

We loved staying at this authentic, traditional Ryokan; the hosts were very friendly and polite, and the dinner we ordered was delicious. It’s a quirky spot, especially since the owners have a huge collection of anime models! It’s a good place, but the steep stairs to the shared bathroom and the somewhat basic facilities might not suit everyone.
The quiet comfort, the very welcoming staff and the amazing number of anime characters on display all made for a unique experience. There were no dislikes

I appreciated how the staff helped make my trip better by sharing local information, and the retro Japanese house design was charming. The only drawback was that, because the house is old, you can hear sounds inside and outside—though that was expected.
