“Beautiful location, comfortable home, great value for the money”
I spent three nights at another hostel in the Old City that I liked for many reasons, but I couldn’t sleep because people kept banging on the door all night. I made a list of other hostels to try, including Alina Hostel, and after checking a few I didn’t like, I knew the moment I walked into Alina Hostel that it was the one I wanted. I learned that just a few months ago Islam Safarli Street had car traffic, but now it’s the most beautiful pedestrian walkway in the city, beautifully landscaped with plenty of benches and people enjoying themselves with friends and family. Alina Hostel also has a large, comfortable lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, and a free washing machine that I plan to use before I check out. The owner and his wife are the nicest people and always ready to help. The mattress could be better, and my semi‑private room has no window, so it can get a bit warm or stuffy, but I borrowed the floor fan from the living room and slept very comfortably.
