The spot is right by the water, and Chris plus his crew were friendly, kept the rooms spotless, and made the whole visit pleasant, though the place could use a makeover and the food should be upgraded if they plan to raise prices and broaden the wine list.

The setting is very calm, the meals are superb, and the staff are warm and welcoming—highly recommend this spot; Welgevonden is a gorgeous reserve that’s definitely worth a trip.
