The place is great: good spot, nice building, welcome drinks, front desk staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a let‑down – getting a hot cup of tea with milk felt impossible, orders got mixed up, and the selection wasn’t very healthy.

The breakfast was late enough that the gentleman had to rush to bring us food as fast as he could. The room was pricey, located in the basement with a patio beneath a porch, and we were hit with an extra facility fee. When we asked, we were told it covered parking we didn’t use, Wi‑Fi, coffee, and other items that are normally included. The booking site didn’t mention any of this.

I loved being able to sit on the porch and watch people go by – great people‑watching. There’s a tour that explains the history of the place, and a nightly reception with small bites. I appreciated that breakfast was brought to my room. Abigail is genuinely kind and helpful. Since this was my first time in the area, the location is a bit quiet; if you want to be near food and shopping it’s a little far. I’d strongly suggest calling a tuk‑tuk instead of walking to King Street in July heat. I would have liked a mini‑fridge in the room.
