A lovely guest house in a quiet neighborhood yet close to all sites and good restaurants. The staff were all friendly and ready to help. The food was good and they accommodated our dietary needs (coeliac and vegetarian) well. Nothing to add.

Griya Asih is a stunning colonial‑style villa situated in a pleasant residential area within walking distance of the city center. The villa feels elegant and roomy, boasting antique furnishings and accessories that add charm. Its patio is spacious and cozy, with large sofas perfect for relaxing while sipping tea or coffee—water is also freely available in the breakfast room. My room was roomy and comfortable, featuring a huge bed, tasteful furniture, and a view of the garden. The breakfast stands out as one of the best parts of the stay; it’s more than a simple spread, it’s a culinary adventure showcasing the finest Indonesian dishes, changing daily and always surprising. I didn’t opt for a western breakfast, but it seemed available. The staff deserve praise for their kindness, availability, professionalism, warm support, and genuine smiles that make Indonesia feel like one of the most welcoming places in the world. Parking for a scooter is available inside the beautiful garden for those who rent one. Overall, everything was perfect!

The patio is large and comfortable, with ample sofas for relaxing while sipping tea or coffee, which, like water, is provided free in the breakfast room. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, with a huge bed, nice furnishings, and a garden view. The breakfast is one of the highlights of staying here—more than a simple spread, it’s a culinary experience showcasing the best of Indonesian cooking. Each day offers something new and surprising. I think a western breakfast might be available, but it was never my choice. The staff deserve a special mention for their kindness, availability, professionalism, warmth, and sincere smiles that make Indonesia one of the most welcoming countries in the world. Parking for a scooter is available in the beautiful garden if you rent one. Impossible to be better than it already is… :)

Safety first: every door is locked securely, and the staff opens the door on request. Breakfast is fresh, and the service attitude is very good and patient.
