Four Seasons Motel

“The motel has everything we needed but our unit was very tired and dated.”

The location was solid and the kitchen offered everything needed for a short stay, plus the unit was warm and the electric blanket was a nice touch. On the downside the room felt old and worn out, with only one functional light in the main area, a chair with peeling leather, and walls and doors that were scuffed or had dirty handprints in the bathroom. The deck and stairs seemed unsafe, the spa was non‑functional during winter, and the reception hours were very limited for a motel.

The spot is great, but the road to Queenstown is a nightmare all day long; still, a couple of nights worked out fine.

The place was perfect—beautiful views, close to town, and the staff were amazing! I was able to check in earlier than planned after my flights were moved, and the rooms always had fresh towels and new linens, heated floors, and a cozy feel. I’d definitely book again and highly recommend it; the small kitchen was handy with a hob, kettle, microwave, and fridge.

“Generally very poor but great location with a view of the town, and Cornelius is a top guy.”

Manager Cornelius was the highlight—he was incredibly helpful, moving us to a different room when the internet failed and assisting with documents, always with a smile and even securing a room with a view. The TV selection was almost nonexistent—just three terrestrial channels, which is awful today. The room wasn’t very clean, and the daily cleaning was subpar; we had to request fresh towels and a made bed, and the cleaners seemed unhappy when we asked for more towels.

It was a bit noisy.
