The hotel was grand and super comfy, with staff and facilities that were top‑class. I got one of the best massages at the spa. The Sunday morning breakfast, however, turned into a mess between 10 and 10:30; the crowd was huge in the last half hour and the staff struggled to keep up, sometimes needing reminders.

The property was gorgeous and the vibe was great, and my stay finished much better than it began. I appreciated the General Manager reaching out personally after my concerns. I’ve stayed at The Leela Palace Bengaluru every year for four years and also at Leela hotels in Delhi, Jaipur and Mumbai. The first room I got wasn’t what I asked for, and the second had a broken TV and curtain. Worse, I had to pay an extra half‑day to push my checkout to 6 pm. With 15 years in luxury hospitality, I know small gestures matter; as a loyal leisure guest who pays out of pocket, I expected a bit more recognition. I still love The Leela and will come back, but I hope regular guests get better treatment in the future.

The architecture and landscape were stunning, but the property felt too large and crowded to enjoy the usual Leela service. The room in the newer area was far away, the spa was under renovation and not up to par, and my high expectations for Leela’s hospitality were disappointed.

The facilities were wonderful, the food was great. I was called in my room to report to reception at 9.30pm as a member of staff on the desk claimed that my wife had not checked in, which she had, and the same member of staff questioned the visa status of one of my children. This was cleared up quickly but the whole situation felt uncomfortable and unnecessarily hostile for a hotel of this calibre
