The hospitality was superb, the view from the room (blessed by good weather) was beautiful, we had a private free bath and enjoyed dinner and breakfast. The smoking area was outdoors and just a standing spot, making it hard for smokers to relax.

This tiny hilltop haven offers incredible food and breathtaking views. It made a perfect first stop on our Japan trip, giving us time to settle in and explore Nara’s old town, which was relaxed and not crowded—just right. The pool was a treat in summer, and the private onsens were great in cooler months. The cuisine and the modern yet Japanese décor were outstanding. I would definitely recommend it.

The scenery was absolutely stunning. There were plenty of events like star‑gazing tours and bonfires, letting us soak up Nara all day and leave completely satisfied.

The food was great, the staff were friendly and the activities were enjoyable, but the newly renovated closet that opened up smelled strongly even though it looked clean.
