The location is great, but the staff seem to struggle with communicating with guests, which made my stay exhausting. I asked for a room with a connecting door so I could easily visit my elderly relative, but the hotel gave me a room that actually connects to another guest's room, and then moved our room to the opposite side, two rooms away. The room had a complete set of problems: Wi‑Fi didn’t work, the TV was unusable, and the balcony was blocked by a tent. I tried calling the front desk, but the phone line was disconnected. A manager even came to my room and told me that on the day of my stay there were many vacant rooms, so they wanted to move me to another room. That comment surprised me, especially since they had promised so many rooms were available when I first booked. I was told to move at 8 pm, but I was already exhausted and decided to rest instead. I plan to switch hotels tomorrow to avoid further damage to the Novotel brand. A hotel of this level shouldn’t treat guests like this, or maybe it’s because I’m Thai. I usually tip every staff member at least 100, but this was the first time I didn’t tip anyone.

The resort is beautiful and somewhat remote, with a very large pool area. However, there were a lot of meetings that interrupted the experience.
