The room was superb; I had the one facing the garden. The terrace table and balcony were divided, so they weren’t stable.

I was surprised to find an hotel without staff, but that’s just the era we live in. The place by the Meuse was pleasant and very quiet, and I liked the décor and the charm. Small things to double‑check in the rooms: a burnt light bulb, rusty screws on the shower wall, a loose shower door handle and a bathroom door handle. A major issue was that the window couldn’t be opened, even though the balcony is shared with the neighboring room and the emergency exit.

The hotel was clean and quiet, but there were no breakfasts available.

The setting was exceptional, we were welcomed warmly, and the room was spacious and very pleasant. The breakfast was good, though the price felt a bit high.
