This house has everything you need - located on a private farm with wildlife in your garden - absolutely beauty full. Good value for money. The bokkies, zebra's and giraffes were welcoming us when we drove up to the house. Magnificent ! Checking in was easy and quick. Will definitely book again. There were some potholes on the dirt road, but we were warned by the owner in advance before arriving and this is something that is out of their control

We arrived at Giraffe House and were blown away by how thoughtfully everything was set up—from electric blankets on the beds to marshmallow sticks for braai evenings, extra blankets for chilly nights, a fully stocked kitchen, and all those small touches that make a stay feel effortless. The beds were super comfy, giving us the best sleep after long days of hiking. The open‑plan kitchen, dining, and lounge flow right onto the patio, and the braai area is spot‑on, especially with a separate drinks fridge that shows the level of detail. Upstairs, a second lounge offers a quiet spot to watch TV or just relax while the rest of us enjoy the main living area, balancing the space nicely. The living room fireplace is divine; we spent evenings chatting, playing games, and reading, and it quickly became the heart of our visit. Located in the stunning Central Drakensberg, the house is about 40 minutes from three different hikes, each with spectacular scenery. Waking up to wildlife—buck, warthog, zebra, even giraffe—right outside the house and sipping coffee on the patio is a never‑ending delight. Comfort, thoughtful details, and the incredible setting make this place special. Honestly, this is one of those spots you have to experience yourself.
