We were pleasantly surprised and spent two wonderful holiday weeks at Roccamare. The park is lush and well‑maintained, and the viewpoint is lovely, reachable by stairs or a path. The underpass to the parking lot also impressed us. Our house was near the road to Rocchette, yet we heard no cars. Everything in the park is within a quick walk. The house for three people was very clean and generously sized for Italian standards, featuring a renovated bathroom with a rain shower. The laundry service brought fresh clothes and toilet paper twice during our stay, and they offered an interim cleaning which we declined. There was ample storage in all rooms, and the windows had fly screens. It’s a shame the reception only speaks English and Italian; with most guests in the park being German‑speaking, a German speaker would be welcome. We wanted fresh rolls for breakfast at Mercato, but they were only available on pre‑order, which was disappointing. Otherwise, many shelves were empty. The beach bar had a very limited gelato selection, which was a reason for us to enjoy it elsewhere. At the beach, we were assigned two lounge chairs and a parasol, but other guests used and moved ours while we were away, which was unpleasant; better supervision might help. The pool isn’t really suitable for swimming. The plants in the park are beautiful, but our accommodation only received morning sun and then shade, which can be pleasant in summer.

The staff is very friendly, with a private beach and personalized loungers. Parking is ample, everything is very clean, and breakfast is available at the hotel. The kitchen could have been better equipped—there was no lighter for the gas stove. The bungalow terrace was not nice and seemed poorly maintained. We were there in the last week before the season ended.
