“Des photos séduisantes, une réalité beaucoup moins convaincante”
The breakfast was decent, though I would have liked more options like scrambled or hard‑boiled eggs, and the free parking in front of the property was a real plus. Unfortunately, the overall experience was mixed; I wouldn’t call Utopia a hotel but more a guest house or country house. Getting there was tough because the surrounding roads were in bad shape and full of potholes. The photos on Booking and the official site seemed misleading compared to reality: the place looked bright, fresh, clean and well‑maintained in the pictures, but we found it quite different on the ground. Our room was right next to the dining hall, so it wasn’t quiet at all – we could hear the dining room, the neighboring rooms, and the room above. The room’s location also offered little privacy because the hallway to the other rooms ran right in front of our door, with a narrow path that made it awkward to move luggage. The view from the room was also far from what the photos suggested; we thought we’d see the pool, but instead the room faced a poorly maintained garden patch and a construction site. The garden overall needed more care, as did the pool, whose real appearance was quite different from the pictures. Another major issue was dampness: the room had several moisture stains on the walls and ceiling, and the same problem was visible in the bathroom. A moisture‑absorbing box was oddly placed at the foot of a shelf. Finally, when we arrived we noticed the sheets were stained and long hair was on the mattress sheet, but we only noticed it when we went to bed late in the evening and reported it the next morning.
