The breakfasts were amazing, and the hotel was just two steps away from the station.

The staff were friendly and the cleanliness was acceptable, but everything else left a lot to be desired. First, there were supposedly obvious yet somewhat hidden costs: the payment shown on Booking was only 50 % of the total price, and that detail was buried at the very end of the offer, hardly visible at purchase. The room photo on the listing didn’t show a bathroom, which was fine, but instead of the expected standard from other room images, we found a bathroom that looked like it had been flooded. The toilet handle had a picture that was a pinnacle of taste, and a shower head that was broken added to the charm. The bed was cramped and uncomfortable. On top of that, the view from the window was a huge construction site and there was noise outside. That was not the hotel’s fault, but it was the final straw in terms of irritation after staying there.
