Ibis Lagos Ikeja

The room and hallway were damp, which was disappointing.

“A rather appropriate place to stay before taking flight...”

I booked the ibis Lagos Ikeja for a night before my flight to Egypt, and it was just what I needed: cozy, welcoming, and a hassle‑free spot for that last Lagos evening before heading to the airport. I expected a basic airport hotel, but this place delivered on all fronts. Its proximity meant I didn't have to worry about catching my flight on time. The staff were friendly and helpful, everything ran smoothly, and the overall vibe eased the usual pre‑flight jitters. I also liked the ironic twist of staying at an ibis before flying to Egypt, given the bird’s historic ties to the region. In short, a comfortable stay, a warm Lagos welcome, and then, like the hotel’s namesake, it was time to take flight. Egypt awaited. The hotel was perfectly functional.

“Not returning”

The location was good, but the hallway to the room smelled awful.

“Very secure, good breakfast every day. Room conditions can be improved a bit.”

The continental breakfast was very good, the Wi‑Fi was excellent, the bed was comfortable, the staff were hardworking and responsive, the room was quiet, and the security measures were top‑level. However, the room’s amenities felt a bit dated, especially the bathroom; there was only one outlet in the whole room and the TV was quite old. Mainly, the gaps need sealing to keep bugs and other nuisances out.

“Reception staff excellent”

The hotel is centrally located in Lagos and close to the airport, but the restaurant staff’s service fell below expectations.
