The host was friendly and helpful, even going out of her way to arrange a smooth ferry transfer on a rainy morning, which was a big advantage given the close proximity to the ferry. However, constant loud dripping from what looked like metal gutters made the stay unpleasant.

The staff were attentive. However, the ground‑floor room on the street side had no window as shown in the booking photos, the room felt stuffy, and the bathroom was not great.

The accommodation is very central, in a quiet area where the historic center of Zanzibar is easily accessible. I really liked the warm and attentive service from the staff, the location, and the rooms.
