The Copthorne Hotel Newcastle overlooks the River Tyne, less than a mile from Newcastle Train Station. Spacious bedrooms feature satellite TV, tea/coffee facilities, and riverside views. The hotel boasts a fitness room, Quay 7 Bar with outdoor terrace, and a contemporary restaurant. Located on the quayside, it's close to shops, restaurants, The Theatre Royal, and Newcastle Football Club.

The view from the bedroom to the river was impressive, the bedroom was large and the beds were comfortable, giving good sleep quality, but the bathroom lighting was poor and the bathroom looked tired; the hospitality tray was low quality, with only 1 packet of custard creams for 2 people, and the tap water at breakfast was awful – don’t drink the juices, and filtered water should be provided.

The location was great, the bed was comfy, the room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the food was good, but we paid more for our room than we did on a previous stay.

The hotel’s proximity to the city was perfect, rooms were spotless and roomy, and the staff were all lovely; there was nothing negative.
