The location is great and the hotel keeps that old‑school charm, but the toilet in my bathroom was badly fitted and unlevel, and the cupboard doors need maintenance. Every room, mine included, had room‑service platters that weren’t collected for over 24 hours. The restaurant’s menu is very limited and could use a wider selection.

I liked almost everything; the place is comfortable and great, but I wish the rooms had stand‑alone showers.

“Staff went out of their way to assist”

The team was very proactive, yet the system let me book a room while the hotel was already full. I understand the system was offline and not synchronising, but I almost didn’t get a room.

When we brought outside food, we weren’t allowed to use the common areas and were not directed to any non‑restaurant spaces.
