The food and service were outstanding, and the traditional English pub right by the sea welcomed us with friendly staff—definitely a place I’d recommend.

The Seal, a family‑run pub‑hotel on England’s south coast, sits a ten‑minute stroll from Selsey’s sandy beaches. Its modern, sound‑proof rooms feature flat‑screen TVs, tea and coffee makers, free Wi‑Fi, and on‑site parking. The restaurant serves award‑winning ales, home‑cooked meals, a children’s menu, and chef’s specials. Breakfast is available daily for an extra fee. The venue is a 20‑minute drive to Chichester and 20 miles from Bignor Roman Villa.

The Greta Room was quiet and comfortable, and the hosts were great.
