“Great spot, but shared bathroom and night lock‑in”
The location is fantastic – you can take a private stroll around a tiny lake right on the grounds. Unfortunately we were assigned a room that shares a bathroom, which left a bit to be desired, and being locked up at night for “safety” felt a little odd.

I’m still in awe – this place goes far beyond the photos and the usual reviews, with breathtaking architecture, friendly staff, and a setting that delights every sense. Every little detail, from the candle‑like lighting to the big gray sofa, feels deliberately crafted, and even the shared bathroom becomes a minor footnote. Breakfast prepared by Señora Flor was another surprise highlight, making it hard to find any flaw.

The walk around the lake gave us a total disconnect from daily life and left us feeling refreshed. Food was delicious and the service from Flor and Marcela was exceptional, plus they made it easy to bring our two dogs along. We did have a few rainy days with some mosquitoes, but they were easily kept under control.
